Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

Freaking Aliens (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Freaking Aliens website, sensor network, dashboards, APIs, and related services.

This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Information you provide to us, such as your name, email address, company, account information, and communications with us.
  • Basic website and service usage information, such as IP address, browser information, login activity, and diagnostics.
  • Information from registered Freaking Aliens nodes, including node location, configuration, system health, calibration data, and sensor observations.
  • Airspace data generated by nodes, such as detections, object tracks, timestamps, bearings, aircraft information, weather data, and other sensor measurements.

Camera Data

Freaking Aliens nodes process camera data locally.

Raw video does not normally leave the node. Video, images, or recordings may be uploaded if you choose to send them to us, enable a feature that requires it, or provide them for support or analysis.

Network Participation

A Freaking Aliens node can operate privately or participate in the wider Freaking Aliens network.

Joining the network is optional.

If you choose to participate, sensor observations from your node may be combined with data from other nodes to detect, track, identify, and triangulate objects in the sky.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • operate and improve the Freaking Aliens services;
  • register and manage users and nodes;
  • provide detections, tracking, alerts, maps, and APIs;
  • perform calibration and multi-node triangulation;
  • monitor system health and provide support;
  • improve our detection and tracking systems;
  • protect our systems from abuse or unauthorized access; and
  • comply with legal requirements.

Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate our infrastructure, payments, email, analytics, or other services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our systems or users, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the company.

If you connect Freaking Aliens to another service or API, information may be shared with that service at your direction.

Data Retention and Security

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide support, meet contractual requirements, and comply with the law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee complete security.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

You can also choose whether your node participates in the shared Freaking Aliens network.

Children

Freaking Aliens is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with the updated effective date.
