We're looking for a Concept Artist / Visual Designer to help define and evolve the visual language of Freaking Aliens as we build the nervous system for planetary-scale AI.
This is not a one-off design task. It's an ongoing, collaborative role. You'll sit in on weekly discussions about sensor nodes, edge AI architecture, and how autonomous systems will connect to our unified perception layer — then translate those conversations into clear, high-quality visuals that help everyone think more clearly about what we're building.
Your work won't just explain the system. In many cases, it will influence how the system is designed.
Primary focus areas:
We care deeply about visual quality and credibility.
The style we're aiming for:
Good reference points include NASA/JPL-style diagrams, grounded science fiction (Arrival, Interstellar), and the visual language of companies like Boston Dynamics, Waymo, or NVIDIA.
What we're not looking for: cartoon styles, generic startup vectors, pixel art, or visuals that prioritize style over clarity.
This role suits someone who enjoys listening to complex technical ideas, synthesizing them visually, and contributing thoughtfully over time rather than just delivering isolated assets.
This role is likely a good fit if you:
You don't need startup experience. Curiosity, visual skill, and good judgment matter far more.
This is a volunteer position with significant upside:
We're a pre-seed startup building this company to last. Early team members who prove themselves will have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles with meaningful equity stakes.

Subject line: Concept Artist / Visual Designer
We're at one of the most exciting stages of a startup — we have a near-functioning MVP and are raising our pre-seed round, but there's still unlimited room to shape how the world sees this company. You'll be joining early enough to define the visual identity from the ground up.
If you're the kind of person who wants to visualize ideas that matter, work at the intersection of AI and the physical world, and be part of a team building essential infrastructure for the autonomous future — we want to hear from you.
